What We Do

Salt and Light works in three major ways to help believers follow Christ in their civic lives.

Educating: Salt and Light bridges the gap between Scripture and public life by connecting current events to biblical teachings. This includes providing curated content on issues that affect the church at local, state, federal, and global levels. Through sermons, articles, and study materials, the ministry helps churches and their members understand how the Bible addresses societal issues and equips them to respond with a Christ-centered perspective.

Equipping: This initiative focuses on hosting workshops, training sessions, and developing practical resources like guides, pamphlets, and videos. Salt and Light equips churches with the tools to engage their congregations in civic life, teaching them how to navigate public policy, voting, and advocacy while maintaining their Christian witness.

Encouraging: Salt and Light provides direct support to church members as they engage in civic life. This includes offering prayer, personal coaching, and connecting them with local opportunities to serve. Additionally, the ministry provides curated, non-partisan content related to candidates running for public office, helping believers make informed decisions on the issues—without endorsing specific candidates—so they can confidently act as Christ’s ambassadors in the public square.
